Bodogol Conservation & Jabban Gibbon Center

Located within the Mount Gede Pangrango National Park, the Bodogol Conservation & Jabban Gibbon Center is a living laboratory for researchers. The park is equipped with a canopy trail, a walkway suspended between trees where visitors can bird watch and get a glimpse of wildlife living in the rainforest canopy. Established in 2003, it was the result of a collaboration between the Indonesian Ministry of Forestry and the Javan Gibbon Foundation. The center is supported by Conservation International Indonesia, Gunung Gede Pangrango NationaL Park, and the University of Indonesia and Silvery Gibbon Project (SGP).

Among many points of interest in the park, Bodogol Conservation Education Center caters to a wide variety of interests. Hanging twenty-five meters above ground, a canopied walkway is one of the parks’s best attractions although extra precaution should be taken at several points in which the walkway’s condition has deteriorated. The area features colorful wildlife, thundering waterfalls, and pristine rivers that guarantee an unforgettable experience.
